The Erich Kästner neighbourhood is another aspect of Ruairí O’Brien’s concept of a ‘museum without walls’. Since 2015, visitors can explore Dresden-Neustadt in the footsteps of Erich Kästner and his book ‘Als ich ein kleiner Junge war’ (‘When I was a little boy’) in particular. QR codes at the different stops provide additional information and relevant texts from Kästner’s books.
